Titan Poker’s Professional Team Makes Stellar Appearance in Las Vegas
Team member Sam Trickett cashes out in six WSOP events for nearly $700,000 in prize money while four of his team members also finish in the money.
Team Titan, the professional poker team of online poker room Titan Poker came on strong at the 2010 World Series of Poker* in Las Vegas, capturing a number of cash prizes in the various poker tournaments of the championship event.
The star performer in the series was team member Sam Trickett from the United Kingdom. Trickett finished in second place, just short of a WSOP* bracelet, in the $5,000 NL Texas Hold’em Event #17, for a prize of $505,725. In addition, Trickett had 5 other cash outs, for a grand total of $693,827.
Trickett’s remarkable performance in Event #17 came two years after he had finished in 4th place in the same event at the 2008 championships, when he took home a prize of $245,927.
Team Titan captain Sorel Mizzi finished in the money this year in Las Vegas in Events #21 and #26, pocketing just over $37,000. Marvin Rettenmaier from Germany cashed out in four events, taking home more than $88,000. Jonas Klausen from Denmark won $8,735 in Event #51, while Yann Brosolo from France cashed out in Events #51 and #56 for over $12,000 in prizes.
